As promised, here is some footage [trailer included] of the live event that happened in Japan on September 5, 2011 9pmPST. I ripped most of the event myself, with the exception of the trailer, which I missed due to internet connection drop. I made sure to make this compilation as High quality as possible, probably the best res out there so far. Since I cannot upload the video to Youtube due to copyright claims (people have uploaded the trailer and it gets removed), I uploaded to Dailymotion. If you don’t have a Dailymotion account to comment on the video, place your thoughts here instead, and like the post while you are at it, if you like it. Enjoy!
For those of you who are a part of Club Nintendo, and also happen to be a Platinum member, then chances are you got invited to this exclusive event. Basically at specific Gamestops in the US, Platinum Club Nintendo members can go and play games that they bring from home on DSi’s provided there. You have to RSVP ASAP or you will loose your chance. I did not RSVP fast enough and it got full by the time I did. Oh well, maybe next time…wait, there will never be a next time!!! NOOOOOOOOOO!!!!
I don’t know about you guys, but I was actually a little disappointed for what Nintendo did. I was really hyped thinking Nintendo was going to do some awesome tour of Kirby Super Star Ultra, but instead we got Flo-gos. Seriously, what’s the big idea of making so much fuss over some cheap advertisement campaign? Oh well, here is what happened on the not-so-great day of September 18.
“Nintendo sends us word of a mysterious special event that will take place on the morning of September 18th, promising “A luminous spectacle that onlookers from coast to coast will be talking about.” The only clue we have as to what the special event is about it the locations it’s taking place at. Kirby Middle School, Kirby Historical Mill, Kirby Park, and Kirby Gate Shopping Center. I feel the names mean something, but what? Damn you Nintendo for being so mysterious!”
Authorities at Nintendo are forecasting an extraordinary celestial event this season. Expected to be visible on Sept. 18, this eye-popping occurrence will be best viewed from a handful of specific U.S. locations (see below). Experts are still deliberating over the scientific significance of this rare phenomenon, but evidence points clearly to the reemergence of a luminous entity that citizens from all walks of life will appreciate.
