These scans were requested by a fellow NB reader. Remember, if you’ve got anything else that you would like to see posted here at Nintendo Bros, let us know. We will do our best to provide for you as soon as we can!

Just because we have been hacking previous released titles doesn’t mean we have left Brawl behind. The following snapshots were not hacked, but do expect some very weird screens soon!

  • Nintendo Prepares Mysterious Worldwide Event

Article Taken Straight From Kotaku (click here for more)

“Nintendo sends us word of a mysterious special event that will take place on the morning of September 18th, promising “A luminous spectacle that onlookers from coast to coast will be talking about.” The only clue we have as to what the special event is about it the locations it’s taking place at. Kirby Middle School, Kirby Historical Mill, Kirby Park, and Kirby Gate Shopping Center. I feel the names mean something, but what? Damn you Nintendo for being so mysterious!”

Authorities at Nintendo are forecasting an extraordinary celestial event this season. Expected to be visible on Sept. 18, this eye-popping occurrence will be best viewed from a handful of specific U.S. locations (see below). Experts are still deliberating over the scientific significance of this rare phenomenon, but evidence points clearly to the reemergence of a luminous entity that citizens from all walks of life will appreciate.

  • Wi-fi: Pay and Play Introduced

Hopefully by now many of you are aware of what Nintendo introduced at GDC this past February. If not, hang on to your pants (and wallet), as wi-fi will no longer be an ultimately free service. Nintendo will be starting their first “Pay and Play” online project with Sega’s upcoming “Samba de Amigo“, a maraca dancing game that resembles something like “Dance Revolution”… with your hands. As fun as the trailer seems for this game, it will also be the first to implement a “pay to play” service. What you will need to pay for is still unclear, but I can reassure you that Wi-fi will no longer be the free service we all had fun with. Games that will support the “Pay to Play” service will contain the traditional “Wi-fi” logo (in red) along with the words “pay-to-play” underneath. Purchasing whatever service is provided by “pay and play” is still a mystery, but you will be using Wii Points respectively. • Ocarina – Action Replay for Wii?

Phew! Talk about slacking! I’ve been so busy messing around with Homebrew Apps, that I can’t help but say I’m a little dissapointed at myself for letting Nintendobros go unnattended for quite a while. Needless to say, if someone is interested in becoming a Nintendobros contributor, post your request either here or in the forums. We really need someone to cover for us in our hours of need!

But back to news, Homebrew is now running a totally fair cheating application for Wii that allows hacking of certain games like Mario Kart Wii and Smash Bros Brawl. Although it is still a hacking app (meaning it could brick your Wii if you have no idea what you are doing), it adds even more replayability on those popular (and unpopular) games. Brawl, for instance, has been a blast to hack. I’ll be posting some videos that I made using the Ocarina App on Brawl, that is, if I get my Cardbus Tuner sometime this weekend. If interested in hacking your Wii (not recommended for those who aren’t tech-savvy), just go to wiibrew.com
