If you have your very own copy of Super Smash Bros. Brawl and a decent internet connection, then you pretty much know what the SMASH SERVICE is. For those who don’t, the SMASH SERVICE is a little extra feature that was added to Brawl. If turned on, this service will allow you to download content submitted by others (limited to staged, replays, and gameplay screenshots) on a daily basis.
Well, I am here to talk about an specific niche in the Smash Service, the REPLAYS. Most (if not all) the Replays I have been getting through the S.S. (smash service) are either Target Practice or Home Run Contest records, which in my opinion, is pretty dull and boring. I like to send replays that include hilarious moments (either set-up or by mistake) and others featuring unexpected surprises. While I respect the fact that plenty of Smash Gamers are competitive, consider this: Nobody will know who achieved a lighting fast target practice score when when using the Smash Service. Its pointless and only pushes much more exciting random replays aside.
So remember this fellow Brawlers, if you want to show off your skills, you can always go to Youtube. There is a reason why it is called the SMASH SERVICE.
