Tired of those cheap, saturated outfits that Mario and Luigi wear in NSMBWii? I was. Now you can ditch those kiddy-colored shirt & overalls for something more Manly. Not really, but yeah…
Just thought I’d let everyone know. The new 3.4 File Patcher code (now 3.5 as of 7/15/09) has been posted [as an update] in the Starter Guide for custom music. Here’s a little note from Phantom Wings:
But in any case, I’ve posted the File Patch Code v3.4 in the code thread. Contrary to my initial prediction, it’s actually shorter than v3.2. I’m pretty sure this one will quell all of the most prominent bugs that are being reported out there.
I made sure to give it a test run by blasting through all the characters in the CSS four at a time simultaneously, (each had a texture) then selecting two PT’s, Samus, and Zelda, (holding R on Samus for good measure) and then selecting FD which has a texture and custom music track on. (all while there was a custom music track playing in the CSS) I also ran a test in training which involved spamming v-B with Zelda while holding a Smashball (textured FS) and having a custom music track playing. Both tests did not yield any freezes so I guess only time will tell the rest.
The only thing left to fix now is the SD security system that the Wii seems to employ. -Phantom Wings

Like I said before, there is a new 3.5 File Patcher. Its been implemented in the Starter Guide as well as on Youtube.
Phantom Wings has released yet another revolutionary update. The latest File Patcher 3.1 can replace even music!
I’ll be making a guide for replacing music files soon. For now, I just updated the Quick Guide for Custom textures with the newest File Patcher code version 3.1
Also, many have been asking for a Track List of all the songs in Brawl. I uploaded a txt file, so you can get a head start on replacing your music.
I finally decided it was time to finish this project. I got off my lazy butt 2 days before July 4, and finished mutilating a very great game. And by doing so, I think I’ve made this game even more epic, or at least given players a reason to retry this adventure. All you need is provided in the download below. Instructions on how to apply the patch can be found in the README txt file also included in the download. The folder is compressed, so you will need a program to unzip it to your computer.
All that has been done in this mod was changing all of the game’s music. No special SFX this time, but I may update the Patch later on, that is why I call this Version 1.0.
